Camatasia for mac does not see my external usb microphone

the C01U is a digital microphone and features a USB output, and needs a USB host (computer) to work. The current version of Mac OS X does not support 'play-through' when using a microphone (internal or USB) as your input device. I found software called 'LineIn' but that doesn't seem to do the job. On Mac OS X, how come I can see the meter moving in the Sound Preferences panel but I can’t hear any audio. I don't have any adaptors and in the past (on PC) I've been able to run a mic through a line-in and use software to amplify and reduce noise to get a mic to work and record. Alternatively, I could get an adaptor which combines the 2 jacks into 1 and plug it into the headphone plug as I understand that it can pick up mic inputs. After reasearching, I discovered that the line-in is for amplified sources only, not basic microphones and that the mic needs to be ran through an amplifier first.

Needless to say, I didn't get any sound from the microphone. I initially thought, just plug headphone into headphone and micrphone into line-in and it would all work. Streaming Package Webcam, Capture Card and USB Microphone Bundle.

At the end of installation, the software did not recognize the camera it had. An external capture card can be a simple solution, as you just plug it into your. I have a headset which has separate headphone and microphone jacks (both 3.5mm) that I would like to do some recording with. Microphone is set to Logitech Webcam C925e (Default Device) and Windows.
